More great #SoJealousX memories! Here’s one we got via email from Marne:
I bought this shirt after my second T&S show in Cleveland (at the Grog Shop?) in 2004 when I was 18. It was the first T&S show that I went toon purpose. My first show was a year earlier in the Skidmore College gymnasium, where y'all opened for Ben Folds.

There were so many cute girls (with short hair! so exciting!).  When Tegan and Sara’s set ended, they all left. I didn’t get it.  ‘But the show hasn’t even started!’, I thought.  'Ben hasn’t even gotten on stage yet!’.

I got it. Eventually.

At the show a year later in Cleveland, I came ready to buy a shirt (don’t ask me what happen to the shirt with Ben Folds’s face on it I bought in 2003).  I stood in line at the merch table and bought the wrong size, I was so nervous.  Tegan and Sara autographed the back for me and I ran out of the Grog shop and put it on over my hoodie. I went home in a carpool and did not make out with my date.

This shirt is now older than all of my past failed relationships put together!

Back then it felt like the band’s 'new’ sound was so different and alien. I didn’t know how to embrace the music.  But so many things have changed since then and being a fan of the band has been one of the few constants in my life.  So when I wear my So Jealous shirt now, it helps me remember the decade that’s flown by, and how I’ve evolved from the person I was the night that I bought it.

So here are two photos– the first of me in my shirt on a bike trip in 2013. The second photo is me, ten years earlier.  We’re all maturing (read: aging) rather well.

Can’t wait to hear what comes next for the band.
with so much gratitude,

Marne
